Swanson Lake Ranch Hunting Club

The Swanson Lake Ranch hunting club is officially open for business and taking a limited number of memberships.  Learn about our ranch, what we've done, where we're headed - and come get in on the ground floor with this exciting new club.

Owners Mike Dugas and Adam Wells look forward to talking with you about our resources, habitat and land management plans, as well as future ranch infrastructure and recreation plans.  In the meantime, the property is blessed with an abundance of wildlife for hunting and fishing TODAY.  Contact us for more about the SLR hunting club.

HUNTING SEASONS 2008...Spring Turkey is Here

SLR has arguably some of the best turkey hunting in the country and we invite you to experience the excitement of spring turkey.  Archery spring turkey kicks off March 25th, 2008 and runs through May 18th and the hunting this year should be terrific (we have several large groups of toms wintering on the ranch).  Shotgun spring turkey opens April 12th and runs through May 18th.  There is a 3-permit limit for 2008 (bag limit one male or bearded female bird per permit). Swanson Lake Ranch has six private ponds, totaling more than 15 acres of prime waterfowl habitat.  In the summertime we enjoy canoeing and fishing for bluegill, bass, & crappie.

Our ranch also borders Swanson Reservoir Recreation Area which has 4000 acres of public hunting ground and 4,794 acres of crystal-clear water, known for trophy-sized northern pike, and numerous wiper, walleye, crappie and black bass.
